CNC Machine Operator (Night Shift)
About The Position
FLOFORM Countertops is hiring a CNC Operator for its Boise branch. The operator is responsible for safe CNC machine operation and producing work that meets established specifications and quality-assurance processes. Duties include setting up stock, loading material with mechanical lifters, verifying machine settings, monitoring machining, taking measurements, troubleshooting issues, and adjusting or reprogramming controls. The operator also maintains tools and a clean, orderly workstation and follows production-floor safety procedures. The schedule is Monday through Thursday on the night shift. Requirements
- High school diploma.
- CNC operator experience.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of written English.
- Understanding of fractions and measurements.
- Troubleshooting ability and good judgment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clear criminal record check.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the CNC machine.
- Set up stock to be machined using laser guides for product placement.
- Load machines by lifting stock into position using mechanical lifters.
- Verify settings by measuring positions and adhering to established standards.
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; and sharpening or replacing worn tools.
- Follow quality-assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
- Observe and adhere to all safety procedures on the production floor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
