About The Position

A well-established company in Evendale, OH is hiring an experienced CNC Machine Operator. This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, with a pay rate of $27 per hour. The Machinist/Machining Center Operator will operate a variety of Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other “manual” machine centers (Drill press, band saw, etc.). These are temp-to-hire positions based upon job performance, attendance, punctuality, and job openings.

Requirements

• Can identify common raw materials, proper tooling and work-holding devices.
• Competent with typical measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, and edge finders).
• Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods and procedural instructions.
• Familiar with Haas controls and G & M codes.
• Follow set-up sheet instructions, set tool lengths and work offsets.
• Must be able to stand for long periods in a fast paced shop environment.
• Regularly required to stand, bend and reach.
• Lift up to 50 lbs at times.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with “A” axis a plus.
• Familiar with GibbsCam programming a plus.
• Technical School certificate/degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of Machine Shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other “manual” machine centers (Drill press, band saw, etc.).
• Machine parts to print and check own work.
• Check parts to print and adjust tool offsets as required.
