CNC Machine Operator 1 - DAYS
About The Position
This is an entry-level position where the operator will learn and perform CNC machining processes with assistance. The role involves confirming job order procedures, setting up and operating CNC machines and production equipment according to specifications and blueprints, and using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. The operator will also be responsible for identifying and stamping parts, inspecting products, maintaining machine cleanliness, performing minor maintenance, and reporting malfunctions. The position requires the willingness to purchase required tools and the ability to work under close supervision. Skills will be developed through repetition and on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Must be willing to purchase required tools, which must pass certification criteria.
- Must be able to complete the above tasks under close supervision.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blue prints.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Able to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Responsibilities
- Confirm job order procedures and instructions relating to machine operations.
- Set up and operate CNC Machines and/or production equipment; strictly following instructions, job specifications and blueprints.
- Read blueprints accurately to properly set up machinery.
- Operate hand tools as necessary to set up tools in the correct machine.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
- Identify and stamp parts for traceability.
- Inspect products per print.
- Keep machine clean, perform minor maintenance as needed, and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Perform entry level CNC machining processes with assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
