About The Position

This position involves operating CNC machinery on the 2nd shift. The operator will be responsible for preparing the machine for operation, ensuring all fluid levels and grease fittings are checked, loading programs, and setting up tooling. They will produce the first piece for quality inspection and then continue to check production pieces according to quality procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNC Machinist in a Manufacturing Shop Environment
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Work from shop prints, work orders, and prescribed production procedures to receive stock material, requisition tooling, and program to prepare machine for operation.
• Check all fluid levels, grease fittings, and transmission.
• Load programs and insert tooling for touch-off of tooling.
• Set reference points for dry run of first piece.
• Produce first piece with approval or assistance of more experienced personnel for measurement of critical dimensions.
• Check production pieces following quality procedures.
