CNC Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

About The Position
Operates computer numerical controlled machines (CNC) according to work instructions to produce plastic component parts. This is a second shift position with hours from Monday-Thursday 3pm-1:30am, and optional Fridays from 12pm - 4pm. The salary is $13/Hour with a $1.50/hour shift differential, totaling $14.50/hour.
Requirements
- Basic skills in reading, writing and arithmetic are necessary
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Basic computer understanding
- Knowledge of machinery
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma/GED Preferred
- Previous machine operations experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate machine to perform the required function
- Follow the work instructions for completing the required job function to determine methods and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications
- Load and unload material from machine
- Inspect pieces throughout the production run
- Perform deburring, sanding, grinding or similar operations as necessary, according to the work instructions, to ensure parts meet the required standards
- Cut material to size using shears, knives, cutters, scissors, router or bandsaw
- Trim, drill, ream, countersink, grind and finish parts to specifications, using the appropriate tools
- Complete required quality production paperwork according to company work rules
- Report accurate production numbers using the ERP computer system
- Keep work area neat and organized
- Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures
- Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary
