This role is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. The operator will load parts, control machine operations, inspect finished parts, and ensure adherence to all established processes and requirements. This includes deburring parts as needed, monitoring parts during production, and following operational sequences and setup requirements under supervision. The position also involves reading blueprints to understand dimensions and tolerances, achieving production goals, and maintaining accurate documentation such as PCDs, job clocking, and daily checklists in either paper or Syteline format. Adherence to company procedures for nonconforming parts and participation in lean initiatives are also key aspects of this role. The operator will manage inventory of hand tools and inspection equipment, report any equipment malfunctions or machining issues to supervision, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Setting up machines and tool offsets is required, but must be confirmed by a Team Lead or Machinist before operation. Detailed communication through the Tie-In-Book is essential for documenting completed work, noting any problems, and ensuring all setup and shadow board checks are completed. Each part unloaded must be marked with the employee number and associated operation.
