About The Position

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC production machines and facility equipment according to OEM instruction and production needs. This role requires the ability to operate a variety of CNC lathes, mills, and other CNC machinery as needed for machine repairs, including handwheel, MDI, and Auto operation. The technician will perform various mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair tasks.

Requirements

• Strong background with Fanuc controls, to include parameter changes, system back-ups, grid shifts, pitch error compensation, G and M codes.
• Ability to read IO and search Ladder Logic as needed for diagnosis purposes.
• Ability to read and understand machine maintenance manuals, operation manuals, Fanuc instruction manuals, and associated machine documentation.
• Understanding and use of precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of, and ability to comply with OSHA Safety and company rules.
• High school diploma/GED and completion of a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of qualified maintenance experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with vacuum pumps and systems is a desired skill.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC production machines and facility equipment.
• Operate a variety of CNC lathes, mills, and other CNC machinery for machine repairs.
• Perform mechanic skills including machine geometry alignments, spindle inspection/replacement, ball screw inspection, bearing preload settings, high pressure coolant system adjustments, and general component diagnosis and repair.
• Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting such as spindle/axis servo tuning, servo amplifier replacement and programming, single and three phase power supplies, low voltage control wiring, overload protection resetting, and AC/DC motor inspection and troubleshooting.
• Set up work with a variety of vendors, contractors, and outside technicians, as well as with other members of the internal Maintenance department.
