About The Position

Balanced Body is an energetic, environmentally sensitive company that leads the world in providing Pilates equipment and education. The Woodshop team contributes to the company's growth by ensuring materials are ready for assembly quickly. Balanced Body is looking for a proactive individual with the right attitude to lead, mentor, and coach employees. As a Crew Leader, you will provide direction and leadership to your team, working closely with your supervisor to define daily, weekly, and monthly goals and ensure team expectations are met. You will ensure the team has all necessary training, tools, and resources, and will be responsible for observing, correcting, coaching, disciplining, working on the line, and making difficult decisions. You will also foster team growth and development. This position specifically involves leading the operation and programming of Robot/CNC machines, requiring strong computer skills, ability to use applicable programs, and leadership in machine maintenance, along with strong communication skills and high attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Experience leading Robot/CNC teams
  • Coach, mentor, train and provide leadership to employees
  • Experience with CNC programming, preferably with Maestro
  • Working knowledge of safe wood working techniques and tooling
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to use applicable programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • 5+ years experience operating and programming CNC / Robot machines
  • 3+ years experience in a leadership role, preferably leading CNC teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to methodically, strategically and collaboratively make decisions, solve problems and foster innovation
  • Able to adapt to changing needs and priorities
  • Able to sit, stand, reach and carry as needed for a full shift (8 or 10 hours shifts)
  • Must be able to lift, carry up to a maximum of 50 lbs
  • Must be self-motivated and have a positive, solution-seeking attitude
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to commit to a consistent work schedule with good attendance

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to your team on a variety of tasks
  • Work closely with your supervisor to define the daily, weekly and monthly goals and ensure your team is meeting expectations
  • Ensure the team has all the necessary training, tools and resources to accomplish their assigned tasks
  • Observe, correct, coach, discipline, work on the line and make some very difficult decisions
  • Respond to difficult situations
  • Lead the operation and programming of the Robot / CNC machines
  • Lead the maintenance of machines
  • Coach, mentor, train and provide leadership to employees
  • Responsible for the growth development, corrective actions and reviews of the employees within their department with support of supervisor and HR as needed
  • Analyze system (Business Central "BC") requirements and ensure team accomplishes daily production planning
  • Responsible to ensure completions in BC are done correctly
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory in their assigned department and regular audits will be performed by the supervisor to ensure inventory is properly maintained
  • Responsible to improve team efficiency & performance while maintaining a high level of performance without compromising the quality of our products
  • Participate in interviewing, evaluating and making a recommendation on candidates
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain and follow all safety guidelines/procedures/activities throughout the production floor
  • Participate in all safety meetings/trainings applicable
