About The Position

Tool Specialties Company is seeking a CNC Lathe Setup/Operator to join their CNC lathe department. This role requires efficient time management, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of twenty or more members. The position involves setting up, programming, and operating Harrison CNC lathes, ensuring safe and efficient project processing, and meeting daily throughput requirements. The operator will also assist Toolmakers and machinists, maintain equipment, and uphold a supportive and respectful working environment. Adherence to Tool Specialties' safety culture and the ISO 9001-2015 quality management system is expected.

Requirements

  • Prior CNC lathe operation and or setup.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overtime and/or weekends.
  • Ability to understand and utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong fundamental math and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to Relocate to Hazelwood, MO 63042 before starting work (Required).

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school with a Precision Machining degree/certificate.
  • Experience fabricating parts for metal stamping dies or a broad knowledge of metalworking/metal stamping industry.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, program, and operate Harrison CNC lathes.
  • Ensuring all projects are processed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Working closely with the department leads to meet daily throughput requirements.
  • Assisting Toolmakers and machinists with projects to ensure their successful completion.
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of equipment and special projects as needed.
  • Maintaining a supportive, productive, and respectful working environment through professional conduct and effective communication with internal and external customers, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Upholding Tool Specialties safety culture by participating in job safety training and following all plant rules and work procedures.
  • Work within a mature ISO 9001-2015 quality management system.
