We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Setup Operator to join our machining team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components. Experience with Okuma CNC lathes is a strong plus. This position requires a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Previous CNC lathe setup experience required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Okuma CNC lathes is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes for production of precision machined components.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to minimize downtime.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
