About The Position

The CNC Lathe Setup Machinist/CNC Operator II performs full setup and operation of CNC machines, including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program adjustments. The role requires interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications; inspecting parts with precision measurement tools; and troubleshooting machining and quality issues. The employee collaborates with programmers or engineers on process improvements and manufacturability, trains and mentors CNC Operator I personnel, maintains production and quality records, and performs preventive maintenance to keep machines in optimal working condition. The employee may work or train in other departments as needed and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires at least two years of machine operation and setup experience, basic CNC setup proficiency, blueprint and GD&T interpretation skills, and experience using precision measurement tools. Desired experience includes machining stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys, as well as tight-tolerance production work.
