About The Position

South Bay Solutions is a high-precision machine shop, making parts for semiconductor, medical devices, and advanced tech hardware. Our tolerances are measured in microns, our equipment is top-of-the-line, and our team is passionate about quality craftsmanship.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC lathe machines to manufacture high-quality metal and plastic components while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including: Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Other inspection tools
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet production requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload CNC lathe machines.
• Monitor machine performance and tool life.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Adjust tool offsets to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.
• Document inspection results and production data accurately.
• Meet or exceed production goals and established cycle times.
• Operate multiple machines when required.
• Log job information, production quantities, and downtime accurately.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Report quality, equipment, or production concerns promptly to management.
• Communicate job status and critical information between shifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
