About The Position

Milacron is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to join their manufacturing shop floor team in Mt. Orab, Ohio. This role involves the safe and accurate operation of computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery with a high degree of concentration and precision, adhering to all safety guidelines. The operator will be responsible for starting and powering down the machine, making size adjustments, understanding measuring instruments to maintain part quality, and changing/teaching tools (O.D., I.D., drills, and cutoffs). Additionally, the position includes performing changeovers, loading programs, and meeting production requirements in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. The role requires the ability to read and precisely follow instructions to produce outputs.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Experience as a CNC lathe operator
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
• Ability to follow all safety guidelines
• Must support mission and purpose of the company and be committed to professional and personal growth

Nice To Haves

• Higher degree from a technical school preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and safely operate machinery and controls
• Perform machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers
• Use measuring instruments (including micrometers) to ensure precision
• Change and set tools, drills, and inserts as needed
• Load, edit, and monitor programs to maintain proper operation
• Inspect parts and ensure conformance to quality standards
• Maintain production output and track quantities and time
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and submit repair requests as needed
• Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or production issues
• Stop production if quality standards are not met
• Properly label and track all processed products
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
• Be available for required work schedules, including weekends/holidays
• Perform other duties as assigned
