CNC Lathe Operator
About The Position
This is a temp-to-hire position for a CNC Lathe Operator. The role involves operating a 120-inch CNC lathe with Siemens controls. Responsibilities include running loaded programs, performing some programming, and making adjustments to programs directly on the machine. The operator will be responsible for producing parts for the repairs division and must be able to use precision tools like calipers and micrometers. The ability to create a drawing of a part and then program and machine it is essential. The facility is air-conditioned and located in the Westpark & 59 area. The shift is Monday-Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM. Overtime is limited, with potential for 8-10 hours per month during peak seasons (approximately 5 months a year), and 40 hours per week otherwise. No weekend work is expected.
Requirements
- Experience as a Lathe Operator.
- Proficiency with Siemens controls (conversational programming).
- Ability to perform some programming.
- Ability to use precision tools (calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to create a drawing of a part, make adjustments, and write the program in the machine.
- Must be able to communicate with the team.
