About The Position
Magellan Aerospace, Haverhill is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe/MillTurn Operator. The primary responsibility of this role is to set up and operate CNC Lathe and MillTurn equipment in a skillful and efficient manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of Aerospace concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to perform with in tight tolerances and work within already established parameters.
- Experience with tolerances of +/- .001.
- The use and understanding of a variety of gages including but not limited to. Bore gages, Johnson gages, Pitch Mics and an indicator for setting and establishing work offsets.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with mill/turns is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and programs.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- May lead and direct the work of others and is a qualified trainer (on skills matrix).
- Follow 6S guidelines in the work area.
