The CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer is responsible for programming and producing parts in lathe operations from materials such as metals and plastics. This role involves studying and interpreting specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and set up requirements. The position requires the ability to read blueprints and generate G-Code programs at the controller to produce quality parts. Daily responsibilities include ensuring safety devices are operational, performing daily maintenance and safety checks, loading and unloading material, and maintaining a log of preventive maintenance. The machinist will also be responsible for the safe operation of CNC lathes, alerting supervisors to maintenance needs, observing machine operation for defects or malfunctions, and suggesting efficiency improvements. Additionally, the role involves tracking scrap material, inspecting final products with precision measuring equipment, and maintaining a clean work area. Miscellaneous duties as assigned to support Tee Enterprises' goals are also part of the role.
