About The Position

The company is based in Chino, California, and is expanding its team to meet customer demand. Compensation is $60,000–$100,000 per year, depending on setup and programming experience.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of setup and programming experience with Swiss-type lathes, such as Tsugami, Citizen, Star, or Tornos, or with twin-spindle lathes.
  • Proficiency using FANUC multi-axis controls.
  • Ability to independently set up, prove out, and program CNC lathes for customer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers' machining needs and produce proof-of-concepts and sample parts using company machine tools.
  • Analyze part blueprints and recommend machining strategies, machine selection, tooling, and workholding.
  • Design fixtures and part grippers, program tool paths, and set up jobs.
  • Create part programs directly on machine controls or using offline software, and create setup sheets.
  • Perform first-article inspection and optimize programs to meet cycle-time, tool-life, and quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine problems, ensure quick turnaround, and keep the workplace organized.
  • Help the sales team prepare presentations of recommended machine tools.
