About The Position

This is a temp-to-hire position for a CNC Lathe and Milling Operator located in Cypress. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm (4/10 schedule). The pay range is $24-$30 DOE. Responsibilities include preparing and locating materials, machine set-up, tool maintenance, machining parts, cleaning parts, and ensuring employee and company safety. The role involves handling chemicals like Isopropyl Alcohol and Acetone for cleaning, and managing the change of coolant and oil. Proper disposal of hazardous materials, including used wipes and liquids, is critical and will be handled according to specific procedures. Hazardous Material Contingency training will be provided.

Requirements

Experience operating CNC Lathe and Milling machines.
Ability to prepare and locate materials.
Proficiency in machine set-up.
Skill in sharpening tool bites, drill bites, and boring bars.
Experience in machining parts.
Knowledge of cleaning machine parts.
Understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
Experience with chemical handling (Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetone).
Experience with changing coolant and oil.
Ability to properly dispose of hazardous materials.
Familiarity with Proto Trak and Anilam controls.
Experience with drill press, bench wringer, band saw, die grinder, surface grinders, and optical comparator.

Hazardous Material Contingency training will be provided within the first six months of employment and annually thereafter.
