About The Position

EDCO Fabrication on Spires Way in Frederick, Maryland is hiring a CNC Laser Operator to join our team! The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Good attendance is paramount to being successful in this role. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Solid background working with sheet metal
• Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
• Ability to read a tape measure

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift heavy items as required
• Stand for 8 hours per day
• Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using hoist
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass
• Basic shop math skills and the ability to read parts prints
• Ability to keep work area clean and organized
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Strong work ethic
• Good attendance/punctuality

Responsibilities

• Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and support the production team by operating machinery as instructed by supervisors.
• Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators
• Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities
• Unload and Load Steel Truck
• Other duties as assigned
