About The Position

Prater Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable CNC Operator to join our Operations team. In this hands-on role, you'll produce high-quality machined parts by programming and operating CNC equipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 50 lbs
Work in environments with varying temperatures, surfaces, and noise levels

Nice To Haves

3+ years of CNC operating experience preferred

Responsibilities

Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications.
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, including installing and adjusting tooling and fixtures.
Primarily focused on a 5 axis Haas horizontal mill.
Program CNC machines by entering proper instructions and machining parameters.
Monitor machining operations and verify accuracy using measurement tools.
Troubleshoot issues, adjust programs, and maintain tooling as needed.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure safe work practices.
Manage and track material inventory.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
