About The Position

This position is responsible for operating EDM machines within the department, inspecting parts, and documenting inspection results. The operator will continuously monitor equipment and tooling, and notify the department manager in case of breakdowns or disruptions. They will follow setup sheets, drawings, and programs, maintain a clean work area, adhere to safety requirements, and ensure activities comply with the Seabrook Quality System procedures.

Requirements

• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong mechanical and trouble shooting ability.
• Ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
• Light to moderate physical exertion required
• Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs.: 50
• Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience operating CNC EDM machines, including FANUC Robocut Wire EDM, preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate EDM machines within the department.
• Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in process inspection plans.
• Continuously monitor equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process, notify department manager to resolve the problem.
• Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings and/or programs.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to company safety requirements.
• Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
