About The Position

Balanced Body is seeking a driven, people-first leader to serve as the CNC Crew Lead for their Woodshop. This role involves leading and mentoring a team responsible for Robot/CNC operations, ensuring machines are running efficiently, programs are optimized, and the crew is set up for success. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in CNC programming and operation, leadership skills for team development, and a focus on production planning, inventory management, efficiency improvements, and safety. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience operating and programming CNC/Robot machines.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably leading CNC teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, reaching, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • A safety-first mindset, adherence to procedures, and active participation in safety training.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and consistent performance with great attendance.
  • Maestro experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for Robot/CNC operations, ensuring machines are operational, programs are optimized, and the crew is supported.
  • Partner with the supervisor to establish and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and develop team members, including conducting performance reviews and managing corrective actions.
  • Program and operate CNC/Robot machines.
  • Utilize Business Central (BC) for production planning and ensure accurate logging of completions.
  • Manage and track department inventory, conducting audits to maintain accuracy.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements without compromising quality.
  • Participate in the hiring process for new team members.
  • Enforce safe woodworking techniques and lead by example on the production floor.
  • Utilize tools such as saws, sanders, routers, grinders, and battery-powered drills, maintaining a focus on quality.
