About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Busbar Fabrication Operator & Programmer to set up, program, and operate a Boschert CU Profi (or similar CNC fabrication center) used in the production of copper busbars and related components. This role is responsible for machine setup, CNC programming, quality inspection, process improvement, and safe operation while producing high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. This is a 3rd shift position, Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Requirements

2+ years of CNC programming and machine operation experience.
Experience with punching, drilling, milling, tapping, and shearing equipment.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC/ISO code editing.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Strong inspection and measurement skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with copper busbar fabrication preferred.
Experience with Boschert CU Profi or similar busbar fabrication equipment.
Knowledge of electrical busbar applications and busbar programming software.
Forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC equipment for punching, drilling, milling, tapping, slotting, and shearing copper busbars.
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software and DXF/SolidWorks files.
Perform tooling setup, machine calibration, first-piece inspections, and in-process quality checks.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Troubleshoot tooling, offsets, and machine performance issues.
Maintain program libraries, setup documentation, and inspection records.
Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
