About The Position
Lincoln Contracting & Equipment is seeking a CNC burn table operator to operate a computer numerical control (CNC) burn table to cut steel and other metals according to specifications. This role requires the ability to read and understand blueprints, program the burn table, load materials, and inspect the finished product for accuracy and quality. Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be able to program the burn table.
- Must be able to load materials.
- Must be able to inspect the finished product for accuracy and quality.
- Vocational/technical training and a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in industrial manufacturing are needed.
Responsibilities
- Step up and operate the burn table, which includes selecting the correct burning tip and gas setting.
- Load and unload the materials using a crane.
- Position and guide workpieces to the correct specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Measure workpiece dimensions for accuracy.
- Perform quality control inspections on finished products.
