About The Position

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled CNC AutoCAD/SolidWorks Programmer who is proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and 3D Modeling, with a strong background in setting up and optimizing CNC burn bed tables (waterjet, laser table, & plasma table) for efficient and accurate production. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, often under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of CNC programming experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and material properties.
  • Ability to work from 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and precision measurement tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality standards.
  • Proficiency in working with fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Skilled in using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a production environment.
  • Training in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Global Harmonization System (GHS), and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures. (Onsite training available.)
  • Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification. (Onsite training available.)

Responsibilities

  • Commitment to a safe work environment, quality product, and teamwork.
  • Program Laser/Plasma tables & Waterjet Machine using AutoCAD & SolidWorks for a wide range of complex parts and materials
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Selection appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on materials and specifications.
  • Set up and prove out programs on the shop floor, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with machinists to refine and optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain program files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to programming, tooling, and machining operations.
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards and tolerances
