About The Position

Exceptional care starts with exceptional people. Westminster Village is seeking dedicated CNA's who take pride in delivering dignity, comfort, and respect, - one resident at a time. As a CNA, you will perform fundamental nursing tasks and procedures under the direction of the LPN and/or RN staff here at Westminster Village. Primarily focusing on performing personal care and restorative procedures as well as total performance of personal care/activities of daily living for a resident to assisting residents to gain more independence.

Requirements

• CNA Certified in the State of Illinois.
• Working knowledge of patient care delivery in the Geriatric/Skilled Nursing Setting.
• Ability to comply with HIPPA guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, understanding, and tact in interactions with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to demonstrate calm professional manner in the event of emergency.

Responsibilities

• Accurately records information and reports to nurse any variance in residents' condition
• Performs personal bedside care of the resident
• Assists with the care and environment of residents' room
• Assists with mealtime and feeding
• Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing team
• Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed
• Assists with protective/safety measures
• Promotes restorative/rehabilitation in all patients
• Promotes quality of life
