Provide physical support to assist residents to perform daily living activities, such as lifting, transfers, assisting with bed mobility, bathing, dressing, toileting, standing, walking, exercising, serving and assisting with meals, and taking vital signs. Observes and documents the health, behavior, physical and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the nurse. Responds promptly and courteously to resident call signals, signal lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine residents' needs. Promotes personal safety and the safety of the residents with a clean and safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the nurse. Communicate with nurses on resident conditions, changes and concerns. Complete required documentation in a timely manner. Provide companionship, comfort and support to residents. Meet federal and state in-service requirements. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
