About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the nursing team who contributes to patients’ comfort and well-being by performing specifically assigned tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This position is with Jupiter Medical Center, a hospital serving Palm Beach County and the greater Treasure Coast.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
• Successfully pass the Certified Nursing Assistant test.
• Meet the stated physical requirements for grip and pinch strength, wrist and elbow movement with weights, shoulder movement and endurance, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling carts, carrying, and lifting.
• Complete annual mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, new employee orientation, TB/PPD surveillance, and maintain required professional licensing and certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet annual threshold requirements, including mandatory Joint Commission education, in-service and health requirements, attendance at new employee orientation, participation in the TB/PPD Surveillance Program, and maintenance of required professional licenses and certifications.
