CNA - Assisted Living Full Time AM shift
About The Position
Covenant Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct daily care to residents in assisted living. The role supports residents’ quality of life and well-being in a supportive, faith-based community. Positions across the organization are available in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care; this posting is for assisted living and notes that the employee may be cross-trained in Assisted Living. The CNA assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The position also helps with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The CNA helps keep resident rooms clean and orderly, maintains resident clothing and laundry, prepares residents for meals, and assists with serving meals and feeding residents. The position reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff. This is a full-time AM-shift position, scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The stated pay range is $19.42–$26.18 per hour; the actual offer may vary based on job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and internal and external equity considerations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
- Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct daily care to residents.
- Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
- Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
- Keep resident rooms clean and orderly, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
- Notify a supervisor when residents need clothing.
- Prepare residents for meals and assist with serving meals and feeding residents.
- May be cross-trained in Assisted Living.
- Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
