About The Position

Covenant Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct daily care to residents in its senior living community. The role supports residents’ quality of life and helps create peace of mind for residents and their families. Positions are available in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care, and the CNA may be cross-trained in Assisted Living.

The CNA assists residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignments, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers. The role also assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services. The CNA reports directly to the nurse manager and may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state and passing the test.
• Listing on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Assist residents with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transportation or transfers.
• Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including changing linens, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside tables, shelves, and closets, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry, ensuring clothing is marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify a supervisor of residents’ clothing needs.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals, and feed residents as needed.
• Follow direction from the nurse manager, licensed nurses on duty, or other supervisory staff.
