About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join its team at Focused Care at Summer Place in Beaumont, Texas. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living to promote their independence and dignity, while helping maintain a safe, supportive, and protective environment. The role includes providing personal care, assisting with meals and mobility, responding to call lights, and documenting care in electronic medical records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas.
• Must be in good standing on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry and Misconduct Registry.
• Ability to understand, remember, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
• Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents.
• Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Promote resident safety.
• Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress, and provide nail care to assigned residents.
• Follow the resident assignment schedule prepared by the charge nurse.
• Lift, move, and transfer residents as required.
• Answer call lights in a timely manner.
• Assist residents with eating or feed them.
• Keep residents clean and dry, including providing toileting or incontinence care.
• Provide residents with supportive, protective, and safe environments.
• Use electronic medical records for charting, including PointClickCare.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
