About The Position
South Port Square is seeking a hospitality-driven Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its clinical team at its senior living community in Port Charlotte, Florida. The CNA assists licensed nursing staff with routine nursing duties and activities of daily living for residents. Available schedules include full-time weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., full-time shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and part-time shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. South Port Square is one of twelve Florida retirement communities managed by LCS. Requirements
- Successfully complete a state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
- Register with the state registry.
- Understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Be able to document care provided.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercise.
- Give treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed.
- Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
- Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
- Respond promptly to signal lights.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly.
