About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant is a member of the nursing team who contributes to patient comfort and well-being by performing specifically assigned tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The role is with Jupiter Medical Center, a health care provider serving Palm Beach County and the greater Treasure Coast.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Ability to stoop, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; frequently assist with lifting patients and heavy equipment; and push or pull up to 40 pounds and carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, and remain detail-oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
• Complete annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service, health requirements, and new employee orientation.
• Participate in the TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
• Maintain required professional licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of acute care experience preferred.
