About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its Bariatrics Team in Omaha, Nebraska. The CNA provides clinical support to patients and providers in a primary care setting, helping ensure efficient patient flow and quality care. Duties include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and health histories, assisting with examinations and procedures, completing basic clinical tasks, maintaining examination rooms and supplies, and documenting patient information. The CNA also performs delegated patient activities assigned by licensed nursing personnel to help achieve the patient’s plan of care. This is a full-time position at 1.0 FTE, with 40 scheduled weekly hours. Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.
Demonstrate effective communication skills.
Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association-endorsed program; this requirement applies to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing.
