CNA-Hospice House (Days)
About The Position
Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide exceptional care at its Hospice House in Sarasota. The CNA performs personal care and home maintenance activities only as specified in a written Hospice Aide Plan of Care prepared by a health professional employee. The role includes recognizing and reporting unusual patient conditions, incidents, or patient/family interactions to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse; working within the Hospice Aide scope of practice; maintaining patient and family confidentiality; and consistently supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values. The schedule is a two-week rotation: Week 1, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday; Week 2, Sunday, Thursday, and Friday. Shifts run from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM. A Florida driver’s license is required only if the colleague chooses to drive when reassigned to another facility. Alternative transportation may be chosen at the colleague’s own expense; mileage reimbursement may apply for travel between facilities while on company time.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Board of Nursing CNA certification/license.
- One to three years of training and/or experience.
- A valid Florida State Driver’s License is required only if choosing to drive when reassigned to another facility; it is not required when choosing an alternative means of transportation.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a long-term care facility is strongly preferred.
