About The Position

This position is for a CNA Youth Apprenticeship at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital in the Float department. The role involves assisting with procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing personal care to patients, reporting findings to nursing staff, and maintaining patient room cleanliness. This is a PRN (as needed) position.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Current enrollment in High School and qualification in the Youth Apprenticeship program per School requirements is required.
No experience required; experience in job related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

Position is for current high school junior or senior enrolled in a Youth Apprenticeship program.
Valid CNA license required.

Responsibilities

Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
Accommodate patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
