About The Position

Marshall Healthcare Facility is a 64-bed skilled and long-term care facility located in Machias, Maine. We are part of First Atlantic Healthcare, known for excellence in Long Term Care. Marshall is Music & Memory certified and a 5-STAR facility. We are offering a limited opportunity for newly hired CNAs to join our "Weekend Warrior" Program. This program requires a commitment of 26 consecutive weekends (six months) and offers premium pay, full benefits, and career growth opportunities. The program allows for flexible schedules with options for three 12-hour shifts or two 16-hour shifts per weekend. The weekend window is defined as starting Friday at 6:30 AM and ending Monday at 7:00 PM. Participants will receive an additional $3.00 per hour premium differential for all hours worked during this weekend window, on top of any regular weekend differentials.

Requirements

Active placement on the Maine C.N.A. Registry as a graduate of a state-approved program.
Current CPR certification.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy/physiology.
Familiarity with computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Strong multi-tasking, communication skills, and a friendly "bedside manner."

Responsibilities

Assisting with activities of daily living: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Supporting nutrition: serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
Monitoring health: checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
Documenting care accurately and maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality.
