About The Position

First Atlantic Healthcare is excited to offer our exclusive RN Weekend Warrior program! Designed for newly hired RNs, this unique commitment rewards your dedication with a premium hourly differential while allowing you to maintain a predictable, structured schedule. This program requires a 26-week contract commitment, working a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts per weekend. The defined weekend begins on Friday at 6:30 AM and ends on Monday evening at 7:00 PM. You may take up to two (2) non-consecutive weekends off during your 26-week contract term. This program offers a $5.00 per hour premium differential for all hours worked during the weekend timeframe, paid in addition to any and all standard weekend differentials.

Requirements

• Associate (AS) or Bachelor (BS) degree in nursing.
• Must be currently registered and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation (must remain current throughout employment).
• Practical knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or solid general computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly.
• A professional, friendly attitude combined with effective leadership skills and/or a strong readiness to grow those skills.
• A 26-week contract (6 months) commitment to enroll in the program.
• Work a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts per weekend.
• All job offers are contingent upon receiving excellent professional references and passing the Maine State Background Check.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS and BLS training are valued qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate, complete healthcare records, reports, and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Administering medications (non-intravenous and regular) to patients, monitoring for side effects/reactions, prescribing assistive medical devices, and ordering diagnostic/clinical tests.
• Recording vital signs and medical information while continuously monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by collaborating with healthcare team members and modifying treatment plans as indicated by patient responses.
