About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (Sub-Acute/Transitional) role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Charge Nurse. These duties may include, but are not limited to phlebotomy, EKG's, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned (Young Adult through Geriatric). Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of a basic CPR course (Level C)
  • California Nursing Assistant Certification License Upon hire
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association Upon hire
  • 6 months of experience in a skilled nursing facility, medical/surgical setting, and/or working with chronically ill patients

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of recent experience in an acute, sub-acute, or transitional care setting
