About The Position
St. Ann's Community is offering an 8-week paid training program to become a Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) at our Irondequoit campus. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to begin a career in healthcare with a leading not-for-profit nursing home in Rochester. Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive CNA certification.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED - Required
- Ability to read and write and communicate in English - Required
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment
- Customer Service experience
Nice To Haves
- Previous Elder care experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assisting Elders with daily living such as bathing, toileting, eating and other activities
- Following care plan to address Elder needs
- Monitoring Elder conditions and reporting any changes to team lead
- Engaging in meaningful interactions with Elders

- Paid training (30 hours/week)
- Starting at $15.50 increase to $18.50 upon certification
