CNA to CMA III Career Advancement Opportunity: We are seeking applicants who currently hold a CNA certification and are interested in growing into a CMA III role. Candidates must have an active ND CNA certification and demonstrate a willingness to obtain CMA III certification within one year of hire POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) provides services to assigned patients in accordance with care plans, facility policies and procedures and at the direction of supervisor(s). Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains a clean, safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards. Maintains established clinic policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards, and protocols. Provides general aspects of care that meet psychosocial or physical needs or both simultaneously, within the nursing assistant’s scope of practice. Meets communication needs of patients. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. Demonstrates performance reflecting the initiative and responsibility expected of a nursing assistant. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications. Assist with orientation of new employees Use proper lifting and body mechanics while delivering care to patients and meet the physical demands of the position. Reports changes in a patient’s condition to the patient’s nurse and/or supervisor. Maintains a working knowledge of all equipment used in treatment of patients Maintains and replaces supplies on unit assigned. As a condition of employment, completes all assigned training and skills competency. Performs other duties as assigned, within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice.
