About The Position

The Williamsport Home is now accepting applications for our CNA Class. Classes will begin 7/21/2026. We are currently seeking applicants who are interested in full time employment on 1st or 2nd shift upon completion of the class. The Williamsport Home periodically offers CNA classes in an effort to both support individuals who wish to develop their healthcare career as well as to add caring and dedicated individuals to our team. Candidates are offered a part-time or full-time position in our facility at the conclusion of the class.

Requirements

  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility including a medical and physical examination.
  • Must possess a High School diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses at all times or use prosthetics, which will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.
  • Frequent arm, finger and low reaching movements.
  • Occasional climbing and crawling.
  • Subject to falls, burns from equipment, and reactions from smoke, disinfectants and other air contaminants.
  • Subject to exposure to infectious waste, blood and body fluids, diseases, conditions, etc., such as TB, AIDS, and Hepatitis B viruses.
  • May be subject to handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the interview and class pre-test.
  • Complete pre-employment screening steps.
  • Work mandatory overtime as needed and/or as outlined in the personnel policies.
  • Walk extensively, sit for extended periods of time and bend, lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
  • Operate lifting equipment regularly and push and pull carts and/or resident transportation devices up to three hundred (300) pounds.
  • Reach, handle and manipulate equipment frequently.
  • Move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Work in and around all areas of the facility.
  • Adjust schedule accordingly due to frequent interruptions.
  • Cope with the stresses of the environment, including emotionally distraught residents, family members, visitors, and personnel.
