About The Position

St. Mary's CNA School is seeking patient-focused, mission-driven candidates looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in a fast-paced environment. The CNA school provides practical work experience for clinical students in an environment that emphasizes patient-centered care. The class will take place on Day Shift (Monday through Friday) for 3 weeks, with hours from 7am-3:30pm. This is a paid internship with a 1-year commitment required after completion of the training. Students will sign a contract upon entering the program, and daily attendance is mandatory. Upon successful completion of the program, passing certification tests, and meeting HSHS's onboarding requirements, graduates will be employed as a Patient Care Assistant within the HSHS Division. The application deadline is April 28th.

Requirements

  • Must be actively working toward certification/licensure in field of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30-days of employment.
  • Sign a contract when they start the program.
  • Attendance everyday is mandatory, no exceptions.
  • 1-year commitment that comes with the paid CNA training.
  • Must be able to work 16 hours per week for 1 year.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
