About The Position
Heritage Senior Living Monona is seeking compassionate and dependable CNAs and Resident Assistants to provide personalized care and support to residents. The role helps residents maintain their independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life through individualized assistance based on their needs and preferences. CNA certification is desirable but not required. The position may be available across day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and holidays. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employment and a $250 sign-on bonus for part-time employment. Benefits and program eligibility may vary based on position, shift, employment status, location, and applicable plan requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide strong customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete required CBRF certifications and training.
- Ability to safely use applicable resident transfer and mobility equipment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is desirable but not required.
- Previous caregiving, assisted living, memory care, or senior living experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and other activities of daily living.
- Provide care according to each resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and safe practices.
- Complete wellness checks and respond promptly to resident calls and alarms.
- Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report concerns.
- Accurately document resident care and services.
- Assist with medications when appropriately trained and delegated.
- Follow resident-rights, infection-prevention, and safety requirements.
- Participate in required meetings and training.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
