This role involves acting as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care within a rehabilitation and nursing center. The CNA will perform basic skills according to department guidelines, communicate observations to the healthcare team, and provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse. Key responsibilities include the day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients, such as dressing, bathing, transporting, and feeding, as well as documenting the care provided. The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center – Cedar is designed to feel like home, offering spacious interiors, new amenities like interior courtyards, a new dining room, an on-site dialysis den, an art room, private and semi-private rooms with en-suite facilities, modern furnishings, and new technology. The unit provides care for long-term residents and post-acute rehab patients, with specialized units focusing on general rehab, neuro rehab, traumatic brain injuries, and cancer. Various programs such as music therapy, expressive arts, and a garden room are available for residents.
