About The Position
As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans, unit routines, and hospital policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Corewell Health Greenville Hospital is a community hospital in Greenville, Michigan, with 49 acute-care beds and 39 long-term-care beds. We give patients access to physician specialists and sub-specialists, clinical quality, state-of-the-art facilities, and advanced medical and information technology. Greenville Hospital is also a member of Partner in Children’s Health through Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
- Nursing Assistant - Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems within 90 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association 90 Days or Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Red Cross 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
- Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
- Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
- Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
- Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
- Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
