Requirements

• A strong desire to help others and compassion for older adults.
• High school diploma.
• At least one year of experience.
• Full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical examination, drug test, and TB testing are mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification is preferred.
• Alzheimer’s and dementia training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instrumental activities of daily living, medication reminders, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Set up and serve meals and clean up afterward.
• Provide services as indicated on residents’ service plans.
• Assist residents with moving in and out, as assigned.
• Assist with laundry service.
• Follow infection-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors, including providing housekeeping services for residents.
