About The Position

The Landing at Cape Elizabeth is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and/or Personal Support Specialists (PSS) for full-time, part-time, and per diem positions on the 1st and 2nd shifts. This role involves providing essential assistance to residents in their daily activities, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The position emphasizes compassionate care and offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

Successful completion of state competency exam for CNA certification or PSS.
Ability to move and assist residents.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
Genuine care and empathy for residents' well-being.
Accurate recording of resident information and vital signs.
Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals as part of the Wellness team.
Adherence to ethical standards and maintenance of resident information privacy.
Criminal Background Screening.
Reliable Transportation.
Effective English Communication (Reading, Writing, Speaking).

Responsibilities

Help residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Serve meals and ensure residents receive proper nutrition, adhering to dietary guidelines and preferences.
Manage laundry efficiently to maintain cleanliness and resident comfort.
Address residents' needs promptly and with empathy, providing attentive care.
Collaborate with other care professionals to ensure an effective care team.
Record observations and updates on residents' conditions for accurate record-keeping.
Follow safety rules and infection control measures to maintain resident health.
Participate in training and education to continuously improve caregiving skills.
