About The Position
Spring Arbor Cottages of Salisbury in Midlothian, VA is hiring compassionate caregivers to join their Assisted Living and Memory Care team. This role offers flexible PRN shifts, allowing caregivers to pick up shifts that work with their schedule while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. The position involves providing hands-on support and companionship to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe and positive environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Dependable, compassionate and team-oriented
- Must meet applicable background and company employment requirements
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification preferred but not required
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Dementia training required for Memory Care associates
- Senior Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Care or healthcare experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
- Help with mobility, transfers and positioning
- Provide toileting and incontinence care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide medication reminders as permitted
- Communicate resident needs and changes with the care team
- Support residents with activities and engagement
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable and positive environment
