About The Position

Harborview Medical Center's Emergency Department has an outstanding job opportunity for a CNA / Patient Care Technician. This position is 90% FTE (36 hours per week) on the Night Shift. The primary responsibilities include assisting medical and nursing staff with delegated tasks involving direct patient care, transporting patients, supplies, and specimens, ordering and stocking supplies, and maintaining/setting up special equipment. The role also involves participating in unit and departmental activities to promote effective problem-solving and communication. This position offers the chance to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year experience as ED Tech or CNA in an Inpatient Hospital Acute Care or ICU settings
  • High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
  • Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (Please include your Washington State NAC license on your resume.)
  • Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire

Responsibilities
